New in this release

  • Customisable, interactive low-pass, high-pass and band-pass filters allow you to explore signals of different frequencies. (See the how-to for more details.)
  • Sensor calibration information can now be input directly into Scream! for displaying traces in physical units.
  • A new “Overlay Streams” option draws all visible streams in the same place for easy comparison of related traces.
  • Scream! now detects gaps or other discontinuities in selected data streams, and displays the selection with a hatched pattern if a discontinuity is found.
  • Scream! now supports TCP-only network clients. The Add TCP Client... option automatically detects whether it is connected to a true Scream! server or a Serial Server using the Block Recovery Protocol (BRP).

Other enhancements

  • Added support for selecting displacement units.
  • Added support for disconnecting USB serial ports, and silently re-connecting when available.
  • Added support of DUPLICATE mode in the digitizer control window
  • Improved checking for duplicate blocks.
  • Added Ctrl-D as a keyboard shortcut for WaveView Duplicate
  • Modified Close File After Timeout to allow a value of 0, meaning close TXT and GCF files instantly. (Previous versions of Scream used a value of 0 to disable the timeout. This change means any previous Scream setting of "disabled" will now be interpreted as "instant close".)
  • Added hatching of Stream Mapping colour if none has been selected.
  • Fixed issue with GSE stream labels for short System IDs.
  • Modified labelling on Mux channel config page to include channel names, and to check digitizer type for channel assignment.
