ARTeMIS Extractor Pro 2009

The ARTeMIS product family includes the most advanced software tools for Operational Modal Analysis available on the market today.

Developed by Structural Vibration Solutions A/S, the packages are used by mechanical engineers, for modal analysis of operating machinery and components, and by civil engineers for ambient modal analysis of large structures like bridges and buildings.

The family comprises:

• Artemis Testor, which includes a geometry generator and data organizer as well as validation and export facilities;
• ARTeMIS Extractor (in three versions), which offers Operating Deflection Shapes as well as comprehensive frequency-domain modal analysis; and
• ARTeMIS Analyzer Pro, which combines all the features of Testor and Extractor, including time-domain modal analysis.

The ARTeMIS modal software provides an open, user friendly platform for modal testing, modal analysis and modal problem solving. If you can measure the vibrations, ARTeMIS Extractor can give you the modes in terms of mode shape, natural frequency and damping ratio.

ARTeMIS Extractor includes both frequency- and time-domain techniques for estimation of all modal parameters, including damping. The included validation features of modal parameters from several techniques ensures the highest level of accuracy and consistency of the results exported from the software.

In addition, for trouble shooting you can also study the operating deflection shapes of the same time histories as those being analysed.

The 2009 version includes a new feature, called Crystal Clear Stochastic Subspace Identification (CC-SSI), which results in extremely clear stabilization diagrams.

The new algorithm has proven to be extremely robust in many difficult cases such as:

• Heavily damped modes;
• Weak modes mixed with dominant deterministic signals (harmonics); and
• High number of modes in a narrow frequency range.
