Cansun returns to his roots

Since the management restructuring, Dr. Cansun Güralp has moved into his new role of Product and Technology Development Director. He will continue to focus all of his efforts on overseeing the future technology and new products for GSL. He remains a very large part of Güralp Systems as he returns to his roots of designing and developing GSL’s technology, now and in the future.

Cansun said, “After 25 years in the design and manufacture of scientific instrumentation, we have exceeded all expectations and are ready for the next phase of growth and creativity. We have added much to the field of seismology and associated areas of science and I am looking forward to working with the new managers in the business. I will enjoy focusing my time on product development but I will, of course, continue to be fully engaged with the business and its customers”.

Dr. Güralp is currently developing some exciting new products such as OBS Systems, the new CMG-Flute, CMG-1SEC and VSP tools. He will be attending the EGU 2010 show in Vienna on 5^th May to meet with customers and talk about his new projects.
