Universal Breakout Box

This waterproof unit provides a connection and monitoring point for sensor input, power, sensor output, and interfaces to Güralp Handheld Control Units. It is compatible with all Güralp analogue broadband sensors. All input/output connectors are 26-pin and each connector has all inputs and outputs.

The Breakout Box is supplied with 5 m of cable and all the required connectors. The cable length and type can be customised.

Handheld Control Unit

A Handheld Control Unit for CMG-3.

The HCU connects to an instrument either directly or through the Breakout Box.

Two forms of HCU are available: one for CMG-3 weak-motion instruments, and one for all other Güralp sensors.

The meter displays the sensor velocity or mass position signals, and outputs them on banana jacks. Calibration signal input jacks and a CAL ENABLE switch are also provided.

The HCU is supplied with a short (1 − 2 m) cable to connect to the breakout box. A longer cable may optionally be supplied, depending on your requirements.
