Release Notes for DIG2

DIG2 is Güralp Systems’ firmware for Minimus₂ and Minimus Lite digitisers. These can be recognised by their serial numbers, which will be of the form MINL-XXXX. For digitisers with serial numbers of the form MIN-XXXX, please see the Release Notes for dig page.

Download Links

Finding the currently installed version

To determine the current firmware, run Güralp's free Discovery software and find the entry for your digitiser on the main page. The firmware version is displayed, as highlighted below:

If the firmware version is not displayed, select Firmware Ver from the Show sub-menu of the Window menu:

Upgrade instructions

You should always back up and verify any data from your device's SD card before upgrading to avoid any risk of data loss.

  • Reduced time drift when GPS unit physically removed during operation.

  • Certis full sample rates now available on digital connection
2023/08/11 - Release 2.1-11433
This release contains the following fixes:
  • Certis RESP/Dataless files now contain correct frequency response.
  • 200 SPS now available for Certis.
  • GDI headers now legalised for older NAM compatibility
  • Channels relating to Certis can now be found under Certis in the Display on Page dropdown in Data Stream/Record.
  • Fixed possibility of gaps in data recorded to the SD cards.
  • A Full Format option now exists in the webpage to fully zero out all files.
  • Webpage now requires login to access all controls for digitiser.
  • Data will still be recorded to external SD card if internal SD card isn't functioning correctly.
  • Auxilliary files polezero.txt and calvals.txt are now functional for SCREAM compatibility.
  • Instrument Serial number now correctly stored when entered in the Poles and Zeros editor in discovery.
  • Download by time will now serve up to the most recent recorded data when future data is requested.
  • Warnings and checks added for SD cards of differing sizes

  • Added StationXML files to storage tab under Auxiliary files

  • LED will now flash blue for five cycles upon a trigger.
  • event_table.txt now shows <1 second events as "<1" instead of 0 seconds.
