We manufacture all of our instrumentation at our dedicated 20,000 sq. ft. facility in Aldermaston, in the UK.
Quality Management and investment in design
All of our sensors are built in clean, HEPA filtered laminar flow environments which achieve ISO Class 7 cleanliness (equivalent to FED Class 10,000).
The most critical mechanical components are designed and manufactured in-house using the latest CAD/CAM technology and are machined on our 4 state of the art CNC milling machines, including 2 robotically tended 5-axis machines. This allows for reduced lead time, tight process control, and a lean design cycle due to our ability to rapidly develop and refine product prototypes.Electronic assemblies are built to meet the standards of IPC-A-610, for quality and reliability.
Robust Supply Chain Management
Quality Assurance
Before any order leaves our facility, it is subjected to a full independent ‘user-experience’ system integration test, followed by a final QA sign off.
Güralp Systems has been accredited to ISO9001 for more than ten years, and achieved the ISO9001:2015 in 2018 with no nonconformances.

These high standards are maintained through regular, rigorous internal and external audits.

Will joined Güralp in August 2017, shortly after graduating with a BA in Natural Sciences and an MSci in Earth Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
Will has spent time working at the British Antarctic Survey and GFZ Potsdam analysing geophysical, geochemical and landslide data collected on rapid response field campaigns conducted during his MSci research after the 2015 Gorkha earthquakes.
Will began his work at Güralp focussing on China and Central Asia, taking a particular interest in rapid response deployments. This geographical region has since expanded to include India and the USA. Will makes regular visits to these areas and is always willing to arrange meetings at conferences or specific visits to discuss future projects.
Will’s key concentrations now are focussed on delivering simple-to-deploy systems in response to major events as well as introducing innovative hardware such as posthole and borehole equipment to improve accuracy in existing broadband networks.
Eleanor has previously worked at the British Geological Survey as part of their Field Seismology Team. She enjoys seismic fieldwork, and learning more about the advancements in technology that Güralp are putting into new generation instruments. Within Güralp, Eleanor works to supply equipment to projects in Asia.
