Güralp 3 Series

The pioneer of miniature force-feedback seismometers

The Güralp 3T is the ultimate and original triaxial, broadband, weak-motion seismometer that provides exceptionally high quality monitoring over the long-period. Depending on the required level of performance and the location of the installation you can select from the following options:

3T-360 - an observatory grade instrument for monitoring over the very long period, in very quiet locations
3T-120 - for surface and sub-surface vaults, with the option for a polar casing which is operational and cold-start tested at -55 degrees Celcius.
3T-120 PH - a post-hole option suitable for permanent immersion in wet environments

A high-performance, observatory grade seismometer, suitable for monitoring the very long period with a 360 s to 50 Hz frequency response (option to 100 Hz)

  • Measured Self noise below the USGS NLNM from 200 s (0.005 Hz) and remains below the high frequency limit of the NLNM at 10 Hz

Certis and Certimus

The next generation medium-motion seismometers with a ± 90° tilt range

Certis is a compact and portable seismometer with advanced sensor technology allowing for analogue output with state-of-health parameters.

Certimus is an all-in-one portable, digital, broadband triaxial seismometer with state-of-the-art communication capabilities suitable for direct burial, surface and vault deployment.

Both instruments have a wide frequency response of 120 s - 100 Hz and benefit from a remotely adjustable long-period corner between 1 and 120 seconds.

Unlike other broadband instruments, both instruments can operate at angles up to 90° from level.

Compact, low-power,  medium-motion seismometer

Surface Storage Module:
Connects in-line with the GNSS at the surface to provide easy access to data stored on the SD card. There is also the additional option to add Bluetooth connectivity for installation integrity checking without disturbance.

Portable Power Module:
Compact re-chargeable battery pack suitable for direct connection to solar panels. The expected life and power usage are reported via the internal digitiser.

Rugged back-pack:
Protects Certimus during field deployments with additional space for accessories and documentation

Rapid Deployment Kit
The Rapid Deployment Kit is designed to transport and power Güralp’s smart seismic instrumentation to form an instant broadband station in the field. The kit is fitted with a re-chargeable 400 Wh lithium battery module, two 20 W solar panels, a GNSS receiver, a modem and a modem aerial.

Güralp 3ESPC Series

A truly portable, broadband, weak-motion triaxial seismometer

The Güralp 3ESPC is a proven weak-motion triaxial broadband seismometer for the price and size of a medium-motion instrument.

Ideally suited for long-term temporary and permanent installations in areas with low to moderate noise levels. The instruments' broadband response and low self-noise level make it suitable for seismic monitoring at all scales: local, regional and teleseismic.

In addition to the analogue instrument, we also offer a digital variant with Flash memory storage:

Güralp 40 Series

Small, rugged and robust, ideal for rapid deployment


The Güralp 40 series of triaxial, broadband seismometers are ideal for rapid deployment in challenging environments such as for volcanic unrest or aftershock monitoring. They are also well suited for installation in vaults with moderate environmental noise levels. With top access to connectors they are also suitable for posthole or direct burial installations.
