Chapter 6. Configuration cable
J1 is a standard 26-pin bayonet free socket, conforming to MIL‑DTL‑26482 (formerly MIL‑C‑26482). Typical part-numbers include the digits 16‑26, denoting 26 ways in a size-16 shell. Suitable connectors are available from Amphenol, ITT Cannon and other manufacturers.
J2 is a standard DE9F (TIA-574) sub-miniature (D-sub) line socket, conforming to DIN 41652 and MIL-DTL-24308. They are very widely available.
The two should be connected by two-core cable with an overall screen, wired as indicated in the following table. The cable screen should be connected to signal ground.
