1 | Full-format the SD cards. (This operation takes about 3 hours and may be performed a few days in advance of the deployment.) | ☐ |
2 | Charge the set of eight batteries using the chargers. | ☐ |
3 | Remove the dummy cap from the GNSS connector on the digitiser canister and connect the GNSS receiver using the adapter cable. | ☐ |
4 | Remove the dummy cap from the battery connectors on the digitiser canister - one at a time - and connect each battery before proceeding with the next one. | ☐ |
5 | Check that all the underwater connectors' locking sleeves are tight. | ☐ |
6 | Remove the titanium cap from the MIN-K connector and connect the test cable to the digitiser canister and the Ethernet to a PC/laptop. | ☐ |
7 | Access the Minimus web-page from Discovery and set the sample rate to the desired value in the Data Record tab. | ☐ |
8 | Using the Control Centre, check that the sensor is centring correctly. | ☐ |
9 | Check the GNSS status and wait until it is 100 % stable. | ☐ |
10 | Quick-format the microSD cards from the Data Record tab and wait until all the status are marked in green (usable and recording). | ☐ |
11 | Enable the power-save mode from the Setup tab of Minimus web page | ☐ |
12 | Disconnect the GNSS receiver from the digitiser canister and replace it with the dummy cap. | ☐ |
13 | Disconnect the test cable from the digitiser canister and replace it with the titanium cap. | ☐ |
14 | Proceed with the deployment without disconnecting the batteries or the sensor from the digitiser canister. | ☐ |
