SALES MANAGER

Over 95% of our revenues are from outside the UK, predominantly sold through our network of international distributors who bring local expertise and knowledge to our customers.
We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our busy sales team to assist with the sales process to direct customers and in the management and support of our global distributors.
THE ROLE:
You will be directly involved with our customers, distributors and partners, developing sales opportunities within our global client base.


Day to day responsibilities will include preparing quotations; working with distributors, the engineering and operations team to manage tender processes; meeting with customers and distributors both in person and virtually; presenting on our products at conferences and via online webinars.

As your experience and knowledge grows, there will be opportunities for international travel and assisting with our global marketing activities.


Responsibilities will involve, but not be limited to:

  • To respond to sales queries from distributors and customers
  • To prepare and send sales quotations, tender documentation, technical proposals and bids under the guidance of Regional Sales Managers and Global Sales Manager (proactively engaging with other departments where necessary, to produce the relevant content)
  • To maintain regular communication with Güralp distributors (within your remit) to ensure you are up to date with regards to current tenders, ongoing projects and potential opportunities
  • To maintain regular communication with direct customers (within your remit) with regards to current tenders, ongoing projects and potential opportunities
  • To follow the agreed sales procedures and record detailed information regarding ongoing and future projects in the Sales CRM, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate
  • To assist in the compilation of sales activity reports as required
  • To produce effective customer presentations for online and face to face meetings
  • To undertake, as required, business as usual sales processes such as due diligence and compliance checks
  • To assist in collecting competitive market intelligence
  • To contribute to the sales team meeting with constructive feedback on improving sales processes
  • In due course, to attend and represent Güralp at trade conferences, contributing appropriate content to promote Güralp products and services
  • In due course to represent Güralp during customer visits
ABOUT YOU:
Due to the niche, highly technical nature of our business we are ideally looking for candidates with BSc, MSc or PhD degrees in Earth Science.

In terms of career stage, we will consider recent graduates to experienced  engineers. Candidates should be self-starters with an interest in pursuing a commercial career in a high-technology, international business.

You will need to be ‘tech-savvy’ as you will be using a range of commercial and proprietary software.

You must also be either a UK national or have settled or pre-settled status in the UK.

  • Confident presentation skills
  • Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office and CRM software)
  • Willing to undertake international travel on occasion
