JOB VACANCY - GRADUATE SALES EXECUTIVE

Over 95% of our revenues are from outside the UK, predominantly sold through our network of international distributors who bring local expertise and knowledge to our customers.

We are looking for a Graduate Sales Executive to join our busy sales team to assist with the sales process to direct customers and in the management and support of our global distributors.

THE ROLE:

You will be directly involved with our customers, distributors and partners, developing sales opportunities within our global client base.


Day to day responsibilities will include preparing quotations; working with distributors and the engineering and operations team to manage tender processes.

As your experience and knowledge grows, there may be opportunities for you to develop the role further in a customer facing role that will require occasional international travel and assisting with our global marketing activities.

Responsibilities will involve, but not be limited to:

  • To respond to sales queries from distributors and customers
  • To prepare sales quotations, tender documentation, technical proposals and bids under the guidance of the Sales Managers (proactively engaging with other departments where necessary, to produce the relevant content)
  • To assist in the compilation of sales activity reports as required
  • To undertake, as required, business as usual sales processes such as due diligence and compliance checks
  • To assist in collecting competitive market intelligence
  • To contribute to the sales team meeting with constructive feedback on improving sales processes
  • To follow the agreed sales procedures and record detailed information regarding ongoing and future projects in the Sales CRM, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate

ABOUT YOU:

Due to the niche, highly technical nature of our business we are ideally looking for candidates with BSc, MSc or PhD degrees in either Earth Science, Physics or Engineering.

Candidates should be self-starters with an interest in pursuing a commercial career in a high-technology, international business.

You will need to be ‘tech-savvy’ as you will be using a range of commercial and proprietary software.

You must also be either a UK national or have settled or pre-settled status in the UK.

Working requirements:

Please note that this is an office based role located at our Head Office at Aldermaston in Berkshire (near Reading).

TRAINING

To support your development at Güralp we have a detailed training program that will see you spending time throughout the business, including time with our production and engineering facilities, repairs and customer support teams.

This will all contribute to your understanding of how the company and our equipment operates, enabling you to become quickly effective in this commercial role.
