Sensor cables

Sensor cables connect the analogue sensor to the digitiser.

We have redesigned our sensor cables to deliver increased performance and durability in the field:

Contacts are crimped rather than soldered for maximum robustness and each connector/cable interface is over-moulded with polyamide for 100% protection against ingress of moisture.

Noise immunity is increased by the use of aluminium/polyester tape to screen each twisted pair. This tape is also used as part of an overall screen, along with a spiral-wrapped copper shield.

Ultra-flexible 19×0.12 mm² wiring is used for the signal cores, with 19×0.15 mm² used for power.

At only 170 grammes per metre and with a minimum bend radius of 55 mm, they are very easy to handle and install. These cables are available across our instrument range and can be supplied at bespoke lengths and with a variety of connector configurations, depending on project requirements.
