EXPLORATION

Image

Güralp instruments are well suited for early exploration of oil and gas reserves.

Passive surveys are a rapid, cost effective method of delineating the structure of large-scale subsurface targets to assist in building a business case for an active survey. Key information such as coarse velocity profiles and depth to basement can be obtained from as little as one overnight survey. We have extensive experience of deploying our instrumentation in form factors suitable for surface, borehole and sub-marine applications.

Güralp seismometers can also be used to complement dense arrays in active source surveys using broadband sources (e.g. vibroseis/marine airguns) for large depth penetration and full-waveform imaging.

Our broadband technology is suitable for monitoring the widest range of sources from ambient noise and microseismic activity to distant or teleseismic events.
