Certis & Certimus

Applications

  • Local, regional and teleseismic monitoring
  • Temporary deployment in challenging environments or remote areas
  • Rapid deployment for aftershock monitoring
  • Microseismic and induced seismicity monitoring in the energy sector, e.g. carbon storage
  • Geothermal energy production monitoring
  • Permanent or rapid temporary deployment for volcanic unrest monitoring
Next generation medium-motion seismometer with a ± 90° tilt range.

Certis is a compact and portable seismometer with advanced sensor technology allowing for analogue output with state-of-health parameters.

Certimus is an all-in-one portable, digital, broadband triaxial seismometer with state-of-the-art communication capabilities suitable for direct burial, surface and vault deployment.

Both instruments have a wide frequency response of 120 s - 100 Hz and benefit from a remotely adjustable long-period corner.

Unlike other broadband instruments, both instruments can operate at angles up to 90° from level.
Compact, low-power,  medium-motion seismometer

  • 120 s to 100 Hz

  • The selectable long-period corner of 20, 30, 45, 60, 90, 100, 110 or 120 seconds can be remotely configured when paired with a Minimus digitiser

  • Option to output to analogue or digital feeds, or both

  • Output instrument state-of-health, response and calibration data in addition to analogue seismic data

  • Operational at +/- 90°

  • Ultra-low power ~350 mW @ 6.0 V

  • Environmentally sealed, stainless steel enclosure (IP68)
